The Cross

For about a century the cross wasn't the symbol of Christianity. It was considered too scandalous, shameful, and reprehensible to be associated with. But, from the outset, Christ's mission led Him to the cross. It was what He came for and what He dreaded, although He followed through to the very end. It's far more than just a symbol or reminder. For when we understand what was accomplished on the cross we find it to be powerfully present today. It impacts every area of our life, from our relationships with God and others, to how we battle negativity and habits, to how we make decisions at work, at school, or in how we parent.
